Saints for Justice and Court Cases
Russians pray to St John the Warrior for protection from those who wrong them, for justice and to recover what was stolen. St Nicholas, who stopped an executioner’s sword to save three innocent men, is asked by the falsely accused. The Mother of God “Softener of Evil Hearts” is asked to turn enemies into friends, and St Anastasia, the Deliverer from Potions, is the prisoners’ saint. St Spyridon is asked for justice in legal troubles, and St Nektarios for patience under false accusation. Before a hearing, a lawsuit or a hard meeting, the Church gives us someone to stand beside us.

How Orthodox Christians pray for this
Before a court date the family asks for a moleben to St John the Warrior or St Nicholas and lights a candle. Pray for the other side too; the Church asks it. Families of prisoners give their names at the Liturgy and pray to St Anastasia.
Have it consecrated by our priest before it reaches you — Consecration, $49.
